To install whiteboard wallpaper or magnetic whiteboard wallpaper, apply the wallpaper adhesive from Smarter Surfaces to your wall (two coats are recommended).

Next, hang the dry erase board wallpaper as you would any standard wallpaper, using a flat plastic edge to eliminate air bubbles and cutting it to size with a sharp knife.

You can add more rolls to cover an entire wall by simply pushing two or more rolls together along the edge.

How is Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper applied?

Our whiteboard wallpapers are designed to be applied to smooth surfaces. They can also be applied to curved walls. Ensure all debris and previous wallpapers have been removed. Absorbent surfaces should be treated with a primer before application.

Only porous surfaces need to be primed before application. If the surface is uneven, you may also choose to use the primer to create a smoother finish.

Your whiteboard can be wiped clean with a regular dry or slightly damp cloth. For easier cleaning, you can also use any standard Whiteboard Cleaning Spray. For tough or stubborn marks, we recommend customers use our Permanent Ink Remover.

During the first 30 days from application, we recommend cleaning your surface every day using the supplied Smart Micorfibre Cloth. After 30 days it is recommended to thoroughly clean the surface weekly with a standard whiteboard cleaner.

Frequent use of alcohol on Whiteboard Wallpaper could compromise the surface's quality and diminish its effectiveness.

No, similar to any standard whiteboard, Whiteboard Wallpaper does not work with permanent markers.

If permanent markers are applied to Whiteboard Wallpaper, we recommend utilizing our Permanent Ink Remover for removal.

You might be able to erase a permanent marker by writing over it with a whiteboard marker.

This will rehydrate the ink, making it simpler to wipe off. After waiting two minutes, clean it away. If this method doesn't succeed, consider using our Permanent Ink Remover, available in our online store.

This specialized cleaner is intended to effectively remove permanent marker, stubborn stains, and ghosting from both whiteboards and Whiteboard Wallpaper surfaces.

Any high-quality whiteboard markers, such as those available in our collection, can be utilized.

Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper can be applied using a ready mixed heavy duty wallpaper adhesive. Simply apply the adhesive to the wall using a roller and then apply the whiteboard wallpaper.

At the joint, overlap the dry erase vinyl and double cut right through with a sharp blade. This will minimize the appearance of seams on your whiteboard surface.

Smart Whiteboard Wallpapers can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference. We recommend hanging the writing wallpaper horizontally to minimize seams on writing areas.

Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper installation

Whiteboard Wallpaper is an easy-to-apply, writable wall covering that delivers a smooth, seamless dry erase surface ready for use in just 24 hours. We suggest professional installation for optimal results.

Hanging the wallpaper is straightforward, and it can be applied either horizontally, vertically, or even on curved walls. We recommend installing the wallpaper horizontally to work comfortably at eye level.

Your surface must be smooth before applying the wallpaper. Highly absorbent surfaces, like new plaster, should be primed before application. We suggest using our White Primer, as it has been proven effective with our wall coverings.

Once your surface is ready, roll the wallpaper on the floor for measuring and cutting. Measure the wallpaper to your desired length and cut it using sharp scissors.

If needed, add 10% water to the ready-mixed heavy-duty adhesive and mix to achieve a smooth consistency. Apply two coats of this adhesive to the wall using a roller. Wait for the first coat to become touch dry before applying the second coat of adhesive. After this, you can hang the whiteboard wall covering.

After applying the dry erase wallpaper, you must wait 24 hours before using the surface. A detailed application guide is available to assist you in applying our dry erase board wall covering.
