FAQ's
The SAC can differ based on the frequency of the sound waves interacting with the material. Various sound wave frequencies possess different wavelengths, which can engage with the material in unique manners. Thus, the SAC values presented here are a spectrum of figures, as the SAC will fluctuate with the frequency of the sound waves being absorbed. Our tests yielded the following outcomes:Unpainted Board α = 0.04-0.07 Painted Board α = 0.04-0.07
The figures given are for both an unpainted 12mm gypsum board and a painted 12mm gypsum board. The α values of 0.04-0.07 for both variations indicate the range of SAC values for these materials. This signifies that when sound waves pass through a 12mm gypsum board, a portion of the sound energy is absorbed by the material, with the level of absorption falling within the range of 0.04-0.07, contingent on the frequency of the sound waves. However, it also confirms that each of our paints is acoustically transparent, as there is no difference in performance from the standard board to the painted one.
Silver Screen Paint Installation
Silver Screen Paint can only be applied by spray. It can never be applied by roller or brush. Also, airless spray systems are not suitable and must not be used.
Use either a HVLP sprayer with a recommended tip size of 1.8mm or a Gravity-Fed Pot Gun with a tip size of 1.4mm to 1.6mm operating at air pressure between 40 and 60 PSI. To ensure optimal spray performance, apply Silver Screen Paint in a room with a temperature between 12°C and 28°C and humidity below 80%.
Standard airless sprayers are not suitable for application of Silver Screen Paint.
Follow the steps below for applying the paint and getting the best results :
- Prepare the Wall - Clean, smooth, and prime with two coats of white primer. Fill and sand any defects.
- Mask the Area - Use masking tape to outline your projection surface.
- Get the Paint Ready - Keep at room temperature. Stir well. Do not add water.
- First Coat - Spray a light coat evenly with 50% overlap. Maintain a 30 cm distance. Let dry for 4 hours.
- Second Coat - Apply a light but solid finish coat.
- Curing - Wait 24 hours before using.
