High Contrast Projector Screen Paint Reviews

Mcgrath Orbut

Very good resolution for gaming. It really created higher contrast levels but I think a powerful projector and low light are important. It was easy enough to apply, and perfect for our home theater wall.

Energy Apps - Wisonsin

Never would have thought of painting a projector screen, but bought the high contrast paint to use in the office where we have our gaming setup. Didn’t want to load in a big screen on top of everything else in there. Absolutely love the new screen with our laser projector. Really great picture with such good visual depth and contrast once you dim or turn off the lights.

Tech7 AV Inc

Really ups the contrast levels on movies compared to our old white screen. It creates a richer image quality for a more immersive viewing experience. You definitely need to pair it with a projector that has higher lumens to get the most out of the new screen.

FAQ's

For High Contrast Projector Screen Paint, we suggest utilizing low ambient lighting.
Opt for High Contrast Projector Screen Paint for gaming, films, home cinema screens, or high contrast projections.
The Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC) quantifies the extent to which a material absorbs sound energy as sound waves travel through it. In our evaluations, we measure the SAC for a standard 12mm gypsum board, a widely used construction material.

The SAC can differ based on the frequency of the sound waves interacting with the material. Various sound wave frequencies possess distinct wavelengths, and these wavelengths engage with the material in unique ways. Consequently, the SAC values provided represent a spectrum of values, as they fluctuate according to the frequency of the absorbed sound waves. Our tests yielded the following findings:

Unpainted Board α = 0.04-0.07
Painted Board α = 0.04-0.07

The figures given pertain to both an unpainted and a painted 12mm gypsum board. The α values ranging from 0.04 to 0.07 for both types indicate the spectrum of SAC values for these materials. This suggests that when sound waves travel through a 12mm gypsum board, a portion of the sound energy is absorbed by the material, with absorption levels falling within the 0.04-0.07 range based on the sound wave frequency. Moreover, this indicates that all of Smarter Surfaces paints are acoustically transparent since there is no difference between the standard board and the painted variant.
3D projectors function by displaying two slightly different images that overlap on the screen. These images are processed through specialized optical filters, resulting in the light being polarized differently for each projection. When you observe the two images through special 3D glasses, each lens blocks one of the images, allowing your left eye to perceive one image while your right eye sees the other.

Thus, the projection screen utilized mustn't alter the polarity of the light when employing a 3D projector. All of Smarter Surfaces paint products are "polarity preserving," meaning that the image you view will maintain the exact polarity as intended, thereby preserving the complete 3D experience.
Blending projections is a common technique utilized in various fields such as art installations, theatres, and large presentations to create captivating and engaging visual experiences. To achieve a seamless and unified projection, selecting the right projection screen is essential. Smarter Surfaces projector screen paint serves as an excellent solution for merging multiple projections onto one surface. Its advanced formulation is crafted to enhance the blending process and produce exceptional results.

To successfully blend projections, precise colour accuracy, consistent brightness, and superior light diffusion are necessary to ensure a smooth transition between the images. Our projection screen paint has been designed with these factors in mind, enabling you to achieve a unified and immersive display.

For larger screen applications, our projection screen paint removes the need for bulky and costly physical screens, offering a more adaptable and budget-friendly solution for blending projections. Convert any environment into a captivating canvas where multiple projections interact seamlessly, enthralling your audience.
Our complete range of paints works well with both 2D and 3D projectors, ensuring optimal results regardless of the projection type. When projecting a 3D image onto Smarter Surfaces paint, it effectively produces the desired effect, providing an immersive viewing experience when used with 3D glasses.
