The magnetic whiteboard paint is essentially a combination of two different paints. It will have a magnetic wall paint and a whiteboard wall paint.

Magnetic paint carries magnetically receptive, also known as ferromagnetic, particles. Typically, these particles are made of steel or an alloy. They allow magnets to stick to the painted surface. The higher the density of the particles, the more magnetic the paint will be. It is applied directly on the wall like regular paint.
