Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper consists of a backing layer that is receptive to magnets, topped with a whiteboard surface, allowing it to function like a regular whiteboard while also holding magnets. It is installed similarly to standard wallpaper and can be utilized just like a magnetic whiteboard once it is applied to the wall, enabling the use of magnets to hold various sheets of paper and other magnetic accessories.

The primary distinction between magnetic whiteboard wallpaper and magnetic whiteboard paint lies in how they are applied; magnetic whiteboard wallpaper features a smooth, factory-finished surface. In contrast, magnetic whiteboard paint is applied with a brush. A benefit of the paint is the absence of seams when covering larger areas, while the advantage of the wallpaper is its quicker installation and uniform, factory-like finish.

For optimal results, it is recommended to use Neo Magnets or high-quality neodymium magnets.

For Smarter Surfaces Magnetic Dry Erase Wall Covering, a vinyl-on-vinyl adhesive must be employed. A roller should be used to apply the adhesive to the wall, with two adequate coats recommended. Additional adhesive may be necessary for the edges.

The magnetic dry erase roll can be installed horizontally or vertically according to your preference, although horizontal hanging is recommended for easier use at eye level.

When installing any of Smarter Surfaces magnetic vinyl wallpapers, ensure the joints are butted together, or overlap and then double cut both layers with a sharp blade. A well-aligned joint will not be visible from a distance of a couple of meters.

Magnetic Wallpapers are designed to be adhered to any reasonably smooth surface and can also be applied to curved areas. Ensure that any loose materials from previous paint or wallpaper are removed. Absorbent surfaces should first be treated with White Primer prior to installation.

As stated, a vinyl on vinyl wallpaper adhesive is required for Magnetic Dry Erase Wallpapers. Using a roller, apply the adhesive to the wall, ensuring to apply two good coats.

It is recommended to wear gloves when installing Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper.

How to Apply Magnetic Wallpaper

Step 1 - Prepare the surface; the surface must be smooth before application. Highly absorbent surfaces like new plaster should be primed before installation. Use White Primer before the wallpaper application.
Step 2 - Once your surface is prepared, lay the wallpaper flat on the floor for measuring and cutting. Measure the desired length and cut it using sharp scissors.
Step 3 - Apply Adhesive: Mix in 5% water (if required) with the premixed heavy-duty adhesive and stir to achieve a smooth consistency.

Apply two coats of the adhesive to the wall using a roller. Wait for the first coat to dry to the touch before applying the second coat.

Step 4 - Carefully roll out the wallpaper along the wall, pushing any air and excess adhesive out from behind the material as you go.

Magnetic Dry Erase Wall Covering will be ready for use 48 hours after installation, allowing the adhesive to fully dry. For best results, professional installation is recommended.
